🌱His Word Sown, Our Hearts Prepared
📖 Hosea 10:12•
“Sow for yourselves righteousness; reap steadfast love; break up your fallow ground, for it is time to seek the Lord, that He may come and rain righteousness upon you.”— Hosea 10:12
Only God is righteous. Righteousness is His nature—not something we manufacture. So “sow righteousness” means plant God’s Word as seed in our hearts.
Sow His Word. All our righteous deeds are like filthy rags (Isa 64:6). But His Word is living seed (1 Pet 1:23) — we receive, believe, and live on it.
Break up fallow ground. Hard hearts resist the Seed. Breaking is our part — willingness, repentance, yielding. “Lord, I want Your Word to take root.”
Then He rains righteousness. We plant, we prepare — but only He gives growth. He pours out His own righteousness by grace. The harvest is His steadfast love.

🙏 Lord God, You alone are righteous. I cannot make myself righteous — only Your Word, Your Spirit, You. Today I sow Your words into my heart. I choose to break up the hard ground — pride, stubbornness, indifference. I want to receive You. I yield my will. I seek You now. Come, rain down Your righteousness. Let Your Word take root and bear fruit — by Your grace, for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, amen.
