How to be a Godly Mother

1 Nurturer & Caregiver:

Mothers are nurturers and caregivers who provide love, care, and support to their children. They are responsible for the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of their children.

• Isaiah 49:15:
  "Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you!"
• Proverbs 31:27-28 
  She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her:
• Hosea 11:3-4:
  "It was I [God] who taught Ephraim to walk, taking them by the arms; but they did not realize it was I who healed them. I led them with cords of human kindness, with ties of love. To them, I was like one who lifts a little child to the cheek, and I bent down to feed them."

2 Teacher & Mentor:

teaching their children in matters of faith, character, and wisdom.

• Proverbs 1:8 "Listen, my son, to your father's instruction and do not forsake your mother's teaching."
• Proverbs 22:6: "Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old, they will not turn from it."
• Proverbs 31:30: "Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised."

3 Role Model: exhibiting godly character

• Exemplifying virtues and godly qualities. Children learn more by following examples.
• Proverbs 31:26 "She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue."
• Proverbs 31:25 "She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come."

4 Prayerful Intercessor:Mothers are encouraged to pray for their children and intercede on their behalf.

• 1 Samuel 1:27-28: 
• "I prayed for this child, and the LORD has granted me what I asked of him. So now I give him to the LORD. For his whole life he will be given over to the LORD." And he worshiped the LORD there.
• Isaiah 54:13 “All thy children shall be taught of the Lord; and great shall be the peace of Thy children.”
• 3 John 4 “I have no greater joy than this, to hear of my children walking in the truth.”

5 Disciplinarian:
to discipline their children in love and with wisdom, guiding their children to know right and wrong and toward righteousness.

• Proverbs 29:15 
• "The rod and reproof give wisdom, but a child left to himself brings shame to his mother."
• Don't overdo it. See Eph 6:4 Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
• Ephesians 6:1-3:
• "Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 'Honor your father and mother'—which is the first commandment with a promise—'so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.'

6 Comforter:

Isaiah 66:13

"As a mother comforts her child, so will I [God] comfort you."

7 As Wife:
! Manage the Household & Finances

• Titus 2:3-5:
• "Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good.
• Then they can urge the younger women to love their husbands and children,
• to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God."
• Proverbs 31:10-12:
• "A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies.
• Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value.
• She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life."

8 Legacy:

• 2 Timothy 1:5:
• "I am reminded of your sincere faith, which first lived in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice and, I am persuaded, now lives in you also." 
  ! Passing through at least 3 generations.

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father, we prayed for all mothers and soon-to-be mothers. May You give them the love, wisdom, and courage to be godly mothers taking good care and character development of their children. May they love their husbands and create a secure and loving environment for their children. May she make fine decisions in the running of the house and the finances. May her family be a light and testimony for You, bringing praises

祈祷代求者：
鼓励母亲为孩子祈祷，代求他们。

• 撒母耳记上 1:27-28：我就将这孩子献给耶和华，使他终生归于耶和华。于是他们在那里敬拜耶和华。
• 以赛亚书 54:13：你的儿女都要蒙耶和华的教训，你的儿女必大享平安。

纪律者：
用爱和智慧来纪律孩子，引导他们认识是非，朝向公义的方向。

安慰者：

妻子的角色：

• 提多书 2:3-5：又劝老年妇女举止行动要恭敬，不说谗言，不给酒作奴仆，用善道教训少年妇女，使她们爱丈夫，爱儿女，谨守，贞洁，料理家务，待人有恩，顺服自己的丈夫，免得神的道理受到亵渎。
• 箴言 31:10-12：才德的妇人谁能得着呢？她的价值远胜过珍珠。她丈夫心里倚靠她，并不缺少利益。她一生使丈夫有益无损。

传承：

• 提摩太后书 1:5：我想起你心里无伪之信，这信是先在你外祖母罗以和你母亲友尼基心里的，我深信也在你的心里。
• 通过至少三代的传承。

祷告：

亲爱的天父，我们为所有的母亲和即将成为母亲的人祈祷。求您赐予她们爱心、智慧和勇气，成为敬虔的母亲，关心和塑造孩子们的品格。愿她们爱护丈夫，为孩子们创造一个安全和充满爱的环境。愿她在管理家务和财务方面作出明智的决策。愿她的家庭成为您的见证，为您带来赞美。阿门。
